shot GPT has been getting like a lotof the shine like I've made a videoabout it you've probably watched othervideos about it and once we saw it getbuilt into Bing and kind of go crazythat's when we knew Google's probablygonna have a response at some point andnow it kind of is out when we have Bartokay quick interjection I should haveput this in the main video but I didn'tbut I'm gonna say it anyway which isthat these are also really quick movingtools so Bard is going to actuallycontinue to improve GPT is going tocontinue to get better and more capablethe gap between them could shrink overtime or it could increase we don'treally know but this is just a snapshotin early April 2023 of how good thesetwo are just figured I should mentionthat okay and so I wanted to put themside by side and ask them the samequestions and figure out which one ispotentially more helpful right now whichone feels like it's more ahead so firstof all I just want to highlight somesome visual differences between the UIof the two so the new Bing with ChachiBT it feels much more like like afinished product like something theywant a lot of people to use and then asyou talk to it you're limited to 20queries in one conversation and it alsohas this creative versus precise sliderfor conversation style then Google bardlooks like a Google product I would saypretty clean also when you're typing toit the question doesn't type out but itjust pauses for a bit and then justslams you with the whole answer but thenwhen you do get an answer it has athumbs up thumbs down a new answer andGoogle it it also has three drafts ofevery answer so you can see what some ofthe worst drafts that didn't make itlook like I've also noticed generallyBing when it brings things in from otherwebsites tends to cite its sources moreoften and Bard will do that once in awhile okay so let's start with the firstcategory which is just simple questionsI want to ask you things here that Ialready know the answer to so I can alsodo some fact checking because a big partof these things is that sometimes itwill lie to you if you don't know whatyou're talking about so let's start withwhat's the best camera in a smartphoneso Bart is saying the best camera insmartphone is the one that takes thebest pictures for you sure I agree itgoes on to list s23 Ultra iPhone 14 proMax and pixel 7 Pro But ultimately Ithink all of these things here arecorrect let's look at Bing s23 Ultralots of information here this is beingextra creative pixel 7 Pro and iPhone 14pro Max so they tend to agree with eachother so some of the specs as I that arejust fact based I feel like what wetalked about in the last video stillapplies you kind of want to fact checkthis stuff overall winner though forthese answers I feel like it's kind ofsplit down the middle so I'm going togive it a draw all right I'm going toreset chat we'll go more balanced hereand we'll start our second categorywhich iscomplex questions because this is whereit starts to get interesting you get tosort of play with just how good they areat understanding natural language andputting together a thoughtful response Ineed a workout plan for three days perweekand my goal is making it look brighter I don'tknow if I buy that one now again beingover here with the sources it's sayingthat there are some tips you can useadjusting your camera settings thatdefinitely works it's saying you canincrease the amount of light thatreaches the sensor with a better ISOsome of that it's a little jumbledcareful not to overdo it because thatalso affects depth of field motion blurand noise level on your video see that'show that's a lot more nuanced anddetailed of an answer and I kind of wishthere was a slider to turn up this stuffin Bard too Bard is faster but lesscustomizable Bing can be turned up to bemore nuanced and also cites its sourcesand can be more helpful with things likevideos and articles underneath whatyou're talking about so I'm going togive the edge in complex questions toBing my next category is performingtasks this is something that's actuallybeen remarkably fast moving somethingwe've seen over the past just couple ofweeks is real people actually usingthese tools to help them accomplishthings and do real tasks in real life Ihave friends that use this to help writecode to help debug code that they makeso you'll tell it hey I have this goalto whyit deletes halfway through a potentiallyslightly controversial response it'sit's almost too creative for its owngood so what's the winner in thiscategory I don't know I think the factthat you can do HTML and many more taskswith Bing makes it the winner Bard willbe faster and simpler at doing morebasic things but for the morecomplicated the task I feel like thebetter Bing is so that's a win for Bingmy next category is information summaryI feel like one of the things that welike the most about these large languagemodels is you can just give it a bunchof information or ask it to look atsomething and it will summarize it foryou in a way that's super helpfulsummarize the 2019 Masters tournamentall facts he started with the two-strokelead uh I don't think he had a I thinkthis is the only one that he didn'tstart with a lead so it's a littleweirdly un fact checked but it does havethe Wikipedia and the sources the 2019Masters tournament was held betweenApril 11th and 14th at Augusta tiger wona fifth Green Jacket by one stroke aheadof three runners up all that is true itis much more concise if I wanted to getcreative I'm sure it would also do thatboth passed all right I've asked thisbefore summarize the latestMKBHD video so it's interesting to seeBing's process but it says it could notfind the latest MKBHD video could youprovide more details about what videoyou're referring to Meanwhile Bardactually pulls up or at least knows thecorrect video dope Tech better thanexplained but these products are thenothing ear one the Dyson air wrap andairpods Pro none of which were in the hood and if you talk to chatGPT as its own thing or if you just typeto it more and ask it to do more thingsthe more you ask of it the more it'simpressive just how good it is also gpt4when you talk to it in chat GPT is aboutto be multimodal which means you cangive it other forms of media other thantext like a picture now is this going tobe the future of search I don't knowthis is just one of many places we seethese chat Bots but I think the ideahere is the winner is actually us as ofright now but let me know what you thinkthe winner is between the two which oneyou would rather use if
